Well, Dr. Adkins called me this afternoon and the path report was in.... {drum roll, please...} No cancer detected. So, it was taken out when the polyp was cut. If there was any in the submucosa, as the polyp path report stated, then it's likely that it was nuked when the cauterization of the polyp took place. There's a very slim chance that I have any cancer in my lymph nodes due to this. Of course, we'll know for sure by the time I make it to 50. Damn, that's only in 5 years, 3 months, and 22 days! Yikes! Ahh... Old is 60 these days... okay, 70...
Worked from home all week, tomorrow I'll go in and see how I do. Adkins said this mild fever (99 ish) and yuk feeling is normal. I don't like to pop pain pills, but an ibuprofen during the day may help me survive.
Soccer on Friday? Not sure... I'll try. I may just go and watch and play for 10 or 15 minutes... I'll see how the rest of the week goes.
Phew! What a relief! No more wondering, no more holding pattern on doing things.
Next big plan is fishing in the Black River in Eastern AZ over Memorial Day weekend. Should be fun, primitive area to camp in.
